About Navigeight
Why is NAVIGATE spelt wrong?
Short answer: Someone else nabbed the name first.
Longer answer: I’ve always been fascinated by navigation.
For as long as humans have existed, we’ve been finding ways to chart the land, sea, and sky. Navigation blends curiosity, courage, and skill with constant innovation. It’s filled with myths and legends, beautiful maps and blinking satellites — each one a story of adventure, safe passage, near misses, and the occasional global conflict.
And yet… even with millennia of practice and the most advanced tech imaginable, we still mess it up. Why? Because real navigation is complex. Explorers think differently to airline pilots. People under pressure rush. Teams lose their way when they haven’t aligned on where they’re going — or how they’ll get there.
Sound familiar?
That’s why I named my company Navigeight. The metaphor fits. I help people and organisations navigate complexity — whether it’s strategic, operational, or human.
And the eight? That’s for the numbers. I love them. They bring clarity in a world of moving parts — they’re beautiful (yes, I said it). Plus, where I live, eight just happens to be the luckiest number of all. Feels poetic.
Allan Boyd - your facilitator
At the heart of what I do is facilitation – helping people think clearly, plan better, solve problems, and move forward. Sometimes that’s in a training room. Sometimes it’s in a boardroom. Wherever I am, I help leaders and teams make smarter decisions and have more meaningful conversations.
My background spans supply chain, sales, consulting, and professional development – and I draw on all of it in my work today. Whether I’m designing a learning journey, facilitating a strategy session, or supporting operational change, I bring a mix of clarity, curiosity, and commercial sense.
While I have deep expertise in supply chain, my clients come from across industries – from law firms and logistics to healthcare and tech. What they have in common is a desire to work smarter, not harder – and a willingness to do the work to get there.
Let’s Start with a Conversation
Every engagement begins with a conversation — to unpack what’s going on, where you’re headed, and what’s getting in the way.
Sometimes that leads to a tailored training workshop. Other times, it’s more direct consulting support or a blend of both. While I often work independently, I also partner with a network of trusted specialists to offer broader or more technical support when needed — from supply chain enhancement to post-merger integration.
Whatever the shape, it’s always a collaborative process designed to get you moving forward with clarity and confidence.
